Peppermint Mocha Kiss

A peppermint Hershey's kiss atop a soft, decadent chocolate espresso cookie is what your peppermint mocha cookie dreams are made of. Just like your favorite Christmas coffee, but in cookie form!

  • 1 cup butter unsalted, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 1 bag Hershey's peppermint kisses



  • Preheat the oven to 350.

Make the Dough

  • Cream together butter and sugars until fluffy and light in color.
  • Add egg and vanilla and stir until combined.
  • Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder.
  • Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir until just combined.

Bake the Cookies

  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place 3 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cookies are set.
  • Remove from oven and immediately place a Hershey's peppermint kiss in the middle of the cookie.


  • Cool for about an hour, then enjoy!
