Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
These chocolate chip cookie bars go with almost any meal and are always going to be a crowd-pleaser. I love these because they feature brown butter and brown sugar which gives them a depth of flavor that goes beyond the cookie bars you've had before.
New York Cheesecake
New York Cheesecake is such a classic and a really nice, creamy, sweet pairing to finish a spaghetti dinner. I love the graham cracker crust and adding some strawberries on top lightens up the whole dinner. Delicious and beautiful!
Chocolate Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting is delicious with a spaghetti dinner because it finishes the meal with a really rich chocolate flavor. The cream cheese frosting balances the sweetness of the cake really nicely to make this a great way to end your pasta night!
Brandy Old Fashioned Cake
This brandy old fashioned cake will be a unique dessert to offer after your spaghetti dinner. The brandy cake is topped with a maraschino cherry juice glaze and topped with an orange zest frosting that makes this cake reminiscent of the delicious Wisconsin cocktail!
Strawberry Rhubarb Tartlets
These strawberry rhubarb tartlets are topped with Italian meringue and are a really delicious way to top off any pasta dinner. The strawberries are fresh and delicious, the buttery crust adds some salty yumminess, and the meringue is sweet and fluffy.
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
This vanilla bean ice cream may seem simple, but it packs some really big flavor! Pair this with a variety of topping options (maybe this salted caramel drizzle?) and you've got an easy crowd-pleaser!
Whiskey Salted Caramels
These whiskey salted caramels are a really fun addition to your dinner plans. The whiskey is a flavorful addition to the sweet caramel, and then the salt on top balances the sweetness perfectly! This is an awesome dessert to go with spaghetti.
Peanut Butter Cookies
These peanut butter cookies may not be a natural flavor pairing for spaghetti, but they're perfect if you've got a few picky eaters at your table.
Cherry Crisp
This cherry crisp is a favorite in my house. It looks and tastes gourmet, but comes together really easily and quickly so you can make a big impression even if you don't have much time.
Peach Blackberry Upside Down Cake
This peach blackberry upside down cake is an awesome dessert to go with spaghetti because the peach and blackberries are a beautiful, fresh complement to the pasta. They're paired with a really moist, delicious, and simple cake that really lets the fruit shine.
Cannoli
You can't have a spaghetti post without the traditional Italian dessert cannoli! This dessert with a creamy filling and crunchy shell will be a really nice ending to your spaghetti dinner.
Tiramisu
Tiramisu is another authentic Italian dessert that is sure to impress your guests. Layers of ladyfingers dipped in coffee with a sweet mascarpone mixture in-between is what dreams are made of (and this is actually MY personal favorite dessert!).
Chocolate Ice Cream
Homemade chocolate ice cream will take your dinner party up a notch- everyone will be impressed by your creation, and will be so impressed by the strong-yet-not-overpowering chocolate flavor that comes through in this recipe.
Cranberry Vanilla Custard Pie
If you're making spaghetti around the holidays, THIS needs to be your dessert pairing! This cranberry vanilla custard pie features a cinnamon crust, vanilla custard, and a tart cranberry topping that hits all the high notes you want in a special dessert. If you want something to impress your guests, this is the one to choose!
Blueberry Ginger Crisp
One of my personal favorite desserts (and it's tasty in any season!), you can't go wrong with this blueberry ginger crisp. The blueberries are sweet, the ginger adds some warmth and spice, and the crisp topping gives it a really nice sweet and salty crunch.
Dutch Apple Pie
You'd be hard-pressed to find too many people that would turn down a slice of homemade apple pie. This recipe often even finds people going back for a second slice (or third- who's counting?!). The Dutch topping on this apple pie really gives it an extra oomph that your guests will rave about.
Dark Chocolate Brownies
These dark chocolate brownies are dense and fudgy, but the salt cuts through that to make them really well-balanced and delicious. This is my go-to for when I'm having company over, because I constantly have friends and family asking for the recipe after they take one bite!
Madeline's
If you've got the special pan for it, these madeline's will be an awesome pairing for your spaghetti dinner. Light and airy with crisp edges, these will be a delicate and delicious ending to your evening.
Homemade Rice Krispie Treats
I make these homemade rice krispie treats all. the. time. This dessert will bring your guests back to their childhood but in a grown-up sort of way that will knock their socks off. It features brown butter so it has a flavor that will keep you making these over and over!
Gelato
An Italian post wouldn't be made complete without the inclusion of a gelato option. Gelato uses more milk and less heavy cream than traditional ice cream. Your guests will think they're in Italy for the evening if you make this traditional gelato for them!
Affogato
Last, but certainly not least, an affogato will impress your (adult) guests with your creativity. Made by pouring espresso over gelato with a shot of liqueur, this will be a really fun end to your spaghetti dinner.
Did you make any of these desserts that go with spaghetti? I want to know! Post it on social media, tag @battersandblessings, and add #battersandblessings so I can see your creation 🙂
